Day 13: 100 Days of 100 Words

Fellowship

Yesterday I sat in a room of 20 or so men of varying ages and had some of the best conversations I’ve had in a while. There were tears shed and “aha” moments galore.

It reminded me of how important fellowship is to the human spirit. The Church, for all its pros and alleged cons, did one thing for all of us: provide fellowship.

Many of my best friends growing up went to church with me. Our parents were friends. We spent the weekends at each other’s homes.

Now, at 40, I didn’t realize how much I missed that fellowship.

100 Words for 100 Days is my microblogging endeavor to share thoughts in bite sized portions to spark thought and conversation.
